Why do we need protein?
Protein is an essential part of our nutrition. Protein makes up almost 20% of the body’s weight and plays an important role in building up our muscles, skin, internal organs, especially the heart and brain, hair and nails, and even eyes. Protein also guards our bodies by helping make antibodies that are required to help fight infections, and maintains their healthy state by blood sugar regulation, fat metabolism and energy function.
Healthy lifestyle is impossible without proper protein levels maintenance. Omnivore or vegan, we all need to make sure we have balanced diet with protein rich foods and supplements.
